To understand Turkey’s social structure, effects of Ottoman’s heritage should be referred. Reflections of the economic, political, cultural and social structure of Otoman Empire to the Turkish Republic, effects of Ottoman modernism, social structure shaped by revolutions, efforts for democratization, efforts passing to the multi-party system, form the the content of this course.
