1) Comprehend the concept of neglectance and abuse, and their effects on children.
2) Define perpetrator's profile.
3) Clarify social work's role in multi disciplinary teamwork with children suffering from violence.
4) Determine theoretical basis and practice approaches for children who are victims of violence.
5) Recognizes and uses interviewing techniques with child victims.
6) Determine national and international regulations related to issue.
7) Analyse developmental characteristics and criminal responsibility of the children and adolescents for neglect and abuse behaviours.
8) Carry out social work intervention with child victims of the neglect and abuse.

The course includes the concept and scope of neglect and abuse, the effects of abuse on the child, team work for the protection of the child and case-based social work practice.
