Course Contents

Definition and importance of statistics. Basic concepts. Showing the data in tables and graphics. Central trend measures; arithmetic mean, median, mode, and others. Central spread measures; range, quarter deviation, mean deviation, standard deviation, variance and others. Cumulative distributions, percentages and percentile ranks. Basic probability; basic concepts, permutation and combination. Normal distribution curve; properties and usage. Interpretation of test scores and standard scores. Correlation; meaning, importance and calculation.
