Course Contents

This lecture contains the constructions of the Arabic sentences, the location of the word in the sentence and its purpose and the situation and changing of the last letter and vowels according to this. Main subjects of this lecture are these: 1. Noun, verb and letter/prepositions. ( Their locations and situations in the sentences will be examined. 2. Phrases; nouns and adjectives 3. The construction of the word and different types of words a)The nominal sentence; (Mübteda/Haber) b)The verbal sentence, (fiil+fail+Meful+VD) c) Simple and composite sentences / Sıla sentences d) Conditional Sentences and sentences with conjunctions. 4) The Irab Rules; which factors come to the beginning of which words and what kind of a difference they cause? The changing in accordance with the locations and situations of the word in the sentence. The changeable and unchangeable words. (Mu’reb+Mebnî). Merfû, Mansûb, Mecrûr and Meczûm words. 5) The words that can get affected and changed on its own and words that are changing in accordance with another word.

1) The types of words: Masculin and feminine nouns, singular, double and plural nouns.
2) The types of Mef’ul: 5 Mef’ul The usage of Mefulun bih and Cer Mefulun Fih ( adverbs of time and place) Mef’ûlün Mutlak and Mef’ûlün Li Eclih (M. Leh), Mef’ûlün Meah
3) The Clauses and Sentences: Adjective Clause and types of adjectives Noun Clause and types of İzafet Muzaf and Muzaf Ilayh (Noun Clause), The double words in the situation of “Yalın” and “Muzaf”, The Irab of Plurals, Esmâ-i Hamse (the five nouns)
4) The changing pattern of Muzari Verb: The prepositions which change the Muzari verb with “Nasb” and “Cezm”.
5) Pronouns: Merfu and Munfasıl Pronouns, The pronouns which unite with nouns. Merfu and Muttasıl pronouns, The mansub and muttasıl pronouns which unite with verbs.
6) Marife and Nekre Nouns: The Definite (El/??/The) and types of Marife İsm-i İşaret, İsm-i Mevsul (Relational Pronouns),
7) The construction of Questioning Sentences in Arabic: 1. The patterns of question and styles of answer 2. The questioning nouns and İ’râb of them (5N+K)
8) The types of Haber and what happens when the Haber comes at the beginning of the sentence.
9) What comes at the beginning of the Mubteda Haber Kane and verbs that are similar to Kane Inne and letters that are similar to Inne Kâde etc. (Ef’âl-i Mukârabe)
10) Temyiz and Numbers Counting, Order and fraction numbers
11) Mechul Verbs (Passive) and Nâib-i Fail (pseudo-subject)
12) Lazım (intransitive) verbs and Muteaddi (transitive) verbs Verbs which take 2 Mef’ûl (nouns) The negativity prepositions and Lâmu’l-Cuhûd
13) Hal ( situation) and its types Exception and Reference Letters/Prepositions
