Divan şiirinin dil, düşünce,anlatım ve içerik düzenekleri üzerine çözümleme yöntemleri öğrenilmesini sağlamak, Divan şiirinin biçim ve içerik yönünden farklı olan estetik yapısını ve anlayışını tanıtmak, Divan şiirinin yüzyıllara göre gelişim çizgisinde 14., 15. ve 16 .yüzyılın yerini belirlemek ve bu dönem şiirinin her yönüyle öğrenilmesini sağlamak.
