This course will focus on current trends and approaches to understanding migration both as a complex global phenomenon and with particular attention to Turkey. We will explore migrants' communities and migrant-support organisations across the World. Students will learn the social integration of diverse ethnic and religious groups of migrants and refugees, including women, youth, torture survivors and more. The course will explore the influence of digital technology on migrants' integration. In addition to what is learned in the classroom, students will meet refugees, NGO's and policy makers.
