1) To know about the history of bioinformatics, learn about how to collect biological data and store them, hoe to align sequences and reliabily analyze them, how to do phylogenetic analysis, how to search biological databases for correct sequences, how to predict the presence of genes and how to do genome analysis.

Course Contents

During this course, we will foduc on the history of the bioinformatics, collecting and storing sequences in the laboratory, Alignment of Pairs of sequences, analysis of aligned sequences, Database search for similar sequences, Phylogenetic prediction, Prediction of RNA secondary structures, Gene prediciton, Protein classification and structure prediciton, Genome analysis.
