Course Contents

It provides information to students about the collection, retrieval and storage of cells and tissues. Describes the information about characterization, reproduction and preservation of cell arrays. It includes structural, functional, and behavioral studies of stored cells.

Weekly Schedule

1) Obtaining, collecting, processing and storing cells and tissues
2) Cell and tissue storage conditions
3) Cell counts, cell cultures, and flow cytometry

5) Using cell lines to have confidence in the value of stored cells and tissues
6) Characterizing cell lines (such as karyotype and genetic markers)
