Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
1) Complete the shortcomings of the study fieid regarding basic knowledge and practice.
2) Asses the resources to be used by reviewing the literature national and international data bases.
3) Evaluate the scientific theories related to the field with a critical point of view.
4) Design an original coherent study which will contribute to the field.
5) Recognize different research methods related to the field and select the appropriate one his/her own subject.
6) Develop academic skills required in the process of data analysis and thesis writing.
7) Design a thesis proposal in line with the readings and findings.
8) Make a comparative analysis of the subjects in question on the basis of data collection and data process.
9) Propose solutions for the problems of the study field on the basis of readings and researches.
10) Prepare a research agenda according to scientific methods as a result of research and investigation.

Course Contents
The Thesis Preparation Course, lasting for 16 weeks – one semester and is to be registered at least one semester, is a course which enables candidates proceed to the thesis writing process with the guidance of an academic advisor and with the approval of an academic committee including the advisor of the candidate as well. With a schedule agreed upon both by the academic advisor and the candidate, face to face tutorial sessions are held regularly once a week to ensure that the candidate has mastered enough to write a thesis, has comprehended the research methods required in thesis writing stage. Candidates are also equipped with the skills and knowledge of developing a research subject, review the literature within the scope of subject in question, and read, interpret, analyze and assess the related studies with a critical and scientific point of view, report his/her opinions in written form using proper style and suggest solutions and defend his/ opinion as well.
