Course Contents

This course includes dental anatomy and characteristics, raw materials of cosmetics, color and cosmetic color materials, cosmetics and fragrances, manufacturing processes of cosmetics and carrying systems, microbiological analyses on cosmetics, hygiene and cosmetics, analyses and controls on cosmetics, good manufacturing practises, toxic and irritation effects of cosmetics, packaging of cosmetics.

Weekly Schedule

1) Mouth problems, and oral care products.
2) Plaque, dental calculus and caries formation
3) The reasons for bad breath. The difference between hygiene and cleanliness.
4) Sanitation. Microbiological contamination sources. Microbiological risk classification of cosmetic products.
5) Perfumes. The importance of odour in cosmetics. The mechanism of odour. adaptation and remembering.
6) Classification of perfume raw materials. Aromatic chemicals.
7) Midterm exam
