Social Policy Seminars
A given social welfare system may set various objectives yet managing risks, alleviating poverty, income maintenance and reducing side effects of income/wealth inequalities have been of great significance among many. This course focuses on the problems of poverty, social exclusion and income inequalities, and aims at how different social welfare systems in general and social security programmes in particular attempts to tackle with these problems. This module firs sets the theoretical framework within which issues are discussed and introduces the students relevant concepts.
