So as to be granted a degree, candidates are required to complete at least seven courses, two seminar courses, achieve the qualifying exam and submit a thesis proposal and accopmlish a scientifically approved thesis study and reach a workload of 240 ECTS credits in total.

Candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Health Sciences are able to specify and apply probable solution methods for a problem by developing thesis and hypothesis while being equipped with profound knowledge in their field of expertise thanks to the courses offered by the doctorate program. The doctorate programs in a variety of departments of the institute cover various elective courses offered with an interdisciplinary approach in accordance with their field of interests. Candidates are provided with the opportunity to conduct experimental studies on their field of expertise in updated and modern laboratories equipped with high technological infrastructures.
Genel Bilgi İnsan vücudunda organ ve sistemlerin embriyonik ve fötal gelişimlerini, mikroskobik yapıların tanımlanması, kavraması ve laboratuvar çalışmalarıyla pekiştirilmesidir. İnsan sağlığına faydalı olabilecek deneysel modellerin Deney Hayvanları üzerinde çalışabilecek sertifika eğitiminden geçmek. The aim of the program is to provide knowledge about embryological and fetal development, comprehensive of microscopic structures and to support them with laboratory studies, to provide a certified education on experimental animals; thanks to theoretical and practical courses the aim is to train researcher science persons equipped with three dimensional thinking skills. The courses offered in the main branch of science enable students to know and identify the development of cell, tissue, and embryo. The students trained in the program are able to reach knowledge and resources via online libraries at Kocaeli University, and use them effectively, they also learn by practicing theoretical and methodological courses, they are able to review, present and discuss updated studies by means of seminars.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Lateral transfer is possible for students of master's and doctorate programmes who have successfully completed at least one semester at another department of the same university and the same institute, or at a master's and doctorate programme of another equivalent institute of another higher education institute. According to the related bylaws, the courses that a lateral transfer student should take within the scope of 'Programme Adjustment' are determined by the committee of the relevant department. The determination of which and how many of the previously taken courses should be recognized within scope of the minimum course load, is suggested by the advisor and the committee of the relevant department,as well. "Full Recognition" is provided upon the approval of those courses by the board of chairs of relevant institute.

Kocaeli University guarantees in advance that all credits gained and courses received by an Erasmus student after the mobility abroad will be fully recognized and transferred into Kocaeli University system and upon arrival with the approval of the authorities and the student. While preparing the" Erasmus Credit Transfer and Grade Equivalency Table" the ECTS grades are transmitted to Kocaeli University grading system.

Turkish higher education institutions are in the start-up phase about the recognition of informal and non formal education. However; computer and foreign language skills that students improve on their own, are evaluated through exemption examinations by the university. Students who prove to be proficient in such exams are exempted from related course(s).
