1) Realize the necessity of analysing a literary work scientifically.
2) Recognize that literature has had different functions at different ages.
3) Distinguish a literary work from the other in terms of style and content.
4) Acquire the the understanding that the literary texts can be read and interpreted differently.

Course Contents
The course aimst to get the students know what literature is by explaining the problems while theorizing the literature and provides the discussion of the solutions to these problems starting from the time of Ancient Greek to the nineteenth century
