1) Show how a text’s meaning is informed by the cultural and historical contexts in which it was produced and received.
2) Using the appropriate literary terminology to explain how Shakespeare and modern dramatists used and experimented with genre.
3) Developing new perspectives on Shakespeare’s texts by reading modern adaptations and interpretations.
