Course Contents

Simple Measurement tools. Horizontal measurements. Detail measurements. Calculations of Coordinate. Preparing the longitudinal and cross sections .. Error and Propagation Principle of Errors .. Leveling and height calculations. İzohips curves, excavation, Filling, area and volume calculations.

Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction. Contents of Surveying. Associate lesson books. Lesson materials.
2) Shape of the Earth. Geoid, Ellipsoid, Datum. National Geodesic Networks, Consepts of coordinate and altitude. Map scale concept and units.
3) Using Map. Reading and plotting of horizontal corrdinates, horizontal distances, horizontal angles, bearings and heights from a map.
