Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Learns the concepts and theory of auteur cinema.
2) Knows that the director is the creator of the film and the director’s language and style is unique.
3) Understands the importance of contribution of the intellectual acumulation and personality structure of director.
4) Recognizes the films of the Auteur directors from the others.
5) Analysis the film with the common language of the director.
6) Knows the relationship between the studio system and autheur and knows the difference.

Course Contents

Within the framework of the concept and theory of the course of world cinema's leading auteur cinema auteur directors and films will be examined. Important directors and films in cinema history, as well as auteur directors who have made contributions to the development of their national cinemas in the course are included in the scope.
