1) Explains the characteristics, functions and adaptation processes of families with children with special needs.
2) Defines the models that explain the reactions to the child's disability in families with children with special needs.
3) Explains stress, stress factors and coping patterns in families with special needs children.
4) Explains family dynamics, needs of family and siblings, and types of support that can be offered to siblings in families with children with special needs.
5) Explains the psychological counseling and guidance services that can be offered to families with children with special needs, in the context of the scope and implementation of these services.
6) Describes the participation of families with special needs children in the special education process and the approaches related to this participation.
7) Explains the importance of family-expert cooperation in families with children with special needs, approaches and practices that explain this cooperation.
8) Explains the legal basis, school-family cooperation in families with children with special needs, in the context of the responsibilities of school administrators, teachers and families.
9) Explains the content, scope, basic principles, implementation and evaluation of the education programs organized for families with children with special needs.
