Course Contents

This course provides knowledge on handball game rules, handball historical development of Turkey and the world handball, technical (throwing a ball handling, passing of the castle shots, cheating techniques, individual defense, handball in the condition technique), dribbling, individual-group and team offense, speed attack, fast attack output systems, defense systems, individual-group and team, goalkeeper work, and the majority of deficiency in the attack-defense exercises.

1) History of Handball in Turkey and in the world; Practice: ball-handling exercises
2) International Handball game rules; Dribbling and pass techniques
3) International Handball game rules; Dribbling, pass and throwing techniques
4) Individual, group and team attack; Throwing and pass technigue; Active passing
5) Individual, group and team defence; Throwing techniques, passing related to throwing; Individual defence exercises
6) Team attack and tactics; Group attacks with two, three and four people; Deception exercises
7) Attack and defense systems; Group and team attack (group tactics)
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Defense systems (adavantage and disadvantages); Individual, group and team defense
10) Selection of a goalkeeper, game rules for the goalkeeper, goalkeeper techniques; Goalkeeper trainings and group attack
11) Defense and offense with few players; 1:1, 2:1, 2:2, 3:2, 3:3 offense and defense exercises
12) Selection of player zones; Players' physical and motor abilities; Offense exercises according to players area; Left-wing back and pivot exercises, Left-wing centre back and pivot with exercises
13) Group offense and defense exercises; Group attack and defense exercises
14) Combine defense types; 5:5 and 6:6 attack-defense (match forms), 5:1 and 3:2:1 defense exercises
15) Rapid games, fast break, fast break types and fast break stages Practice: fast break drills, fast break starting, free throw tactics, 7 m throwing, 5:5 - 6:6 match
16) Final examination
