Genel ampelografinin tanıtılması, genel ampelografide incelenen organlar ve bu organların özellikleri, UPOV ve OIV sınıflandırma sistemleri ve bu sistemlerde incelenen organlar ve özellikleri, Dünya’da yetiştiriciliği yapılan önemli üzüm çeşitlerinin ampelografik özellikleri, yeni ıslah edilen üzüm çeşitlerinin ampelografik özelliklerinin belirlenmesinin bağcılık açısından önemi anlatılmaktadır.
