Course Contents

Definition of term “Paleogeography”, historical evolution, characteristic features of modern and ancient sedimentary environmens, basic principles of instruction of paleogeographic maps, the interrelations of terrestrial and marine environments, climatic changes from Cambrian to recent , sedimentation and tectonics, interrelations between paleogeography, paleoclimatology and paleoecology, position of lands along Paleozoic era, position of lands along Mesozoic era, position of along Cenozoic era, the historical development of Tethyan Ocean, paleogeography of Turkey.
