This course equips candidates with in-depth knowledge on European economic history (economic-political structure and social structure).

2) Economic Thought in Antiquity: China, India, Mesopotamia, Hebrew, Hittite, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greek
3) Economic Thought in Europe in the Middle Ages: Economic Structure, Political Structure, Important Thinkers
4) Economic Thought in Islamic World in Middle Ages: Economic Structure, Political Structure, Important Thinkers
5) The Beginning of the Modern Age - Mercantilism: Developments Affecting Mercantilist Thought, Development in Politics, Political Development and the Birth of Nation States, Cultural and Spiritual Changes, Mercantilism Basic Opinions, Mercantilism Economic Analysis Contribution, Mercantilism Collapse and Economic Liberalism Transitional Conditions, Liberalism from Mercantilism Economic Thought in Transition, Petty, Locke and Hume in England
