Course Contents

The concept of utopia, its definition, historical approach; Medieval and Renaissance architectural-urban utopias; industrial revolution and 19th century utopias; modern architecture and 20th century utopias; similar concepts: ecotopia, dystopia, heterotopia, etc.; effects of utopias on today's architecture; planning, programming and design for the future.
