1) Summarize the anatomical structures that mediate the stress response are found in both the central nervous system and peripheral tissues
2) Explain physiological adaptation (cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic) responses initiated by activation of HPA system and, inhibition of general vegetative functions such as feeding, growth, reproduction, and immunity
3) Explain the behavioral effects of the stress response
4) Discuss the conditions related to HPA axis dysfunction
