Amaç EPÖ Anabilim Dalı'nın amacı, okullarda, bakanlık ve kurumların eğitim birimlerinde, Talim ve Terbiye Dairesi'nde uzman ya da uzman yardımcısı yetiştirmek amacı ile kurulmuştur. Bu amaçla, Anadolu Öğretmen Liselerinde Meslek Dersleri öğretmenleri, il Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerinde Program Geliştirme Uzmanı/yardımcısı, Özel Okullarda Program Geliştirme ve Ölçme Değerlendirme Merkezlerinde uzman/yardımcısı, üniversitelerimizin Eğitim Fakültelerinde Araştırma Görevlisi ya da Öğretim Elemanı, Silahlı Kuvvetlerin her kademesinde eğitim uzmanı/yardımcısı, kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarının eğitim dairelerinde eğitim uzmanı/yardımcısı olma yeterliklerine sahip bireyler yetiştirmektedir. Curriculum and Instruction Program aims to bring up experts and expert assistants at schools, ministry and institution units. With this aim, program brings up vocational course teachers to Anatolian vocational high schools, Program developer experts to national education departments, program developer experts to collages, special schools and research asistantsto our universities.

The programs which are law of teaching and training programs and program development processes that can be described as learning process is the basic determinant of social development.
Kabul Koşulları Son üç yılda yapılmış olan Akademik Personel ve Lisansüstü Eğitim Sınavına (ALES) girmiş olmak ve bu sınavdan başvurulan programın lisans puan türünde (Sözel ve Eşit Ağırlık) en az 55 puan almış olmak gereklidir. Adaylar, ulusal merkezi yabancı dil sınavlarından yüksek lisans için 50 puan almalıdır. Dört yıllık lisans mezunu olma şartı aranmaktadır. So as to be admitted to the program, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from relevant faculties. The bachelor’s degrees granted from universities other than Turkey shall be approved by the Council of Higher Education. Applicants must get a minimum score of 55 from the related test parts of ALES (Examination for Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education) or equivalent grade from GMAT or GRE exams, and a minimum score of 50 from UDS or KPDS (Governmental Foreign Language Proficiency Test of English) or an equivalent grade from TOEFL, IELTS, CEFLE, ZDF for English, French or German languages.
Dereceyi Alabilme Koşulları, Kuralları Tezli yüksek lisans programından yüksek lisans derecesi alabilmek için adayların en az yedi adet ders, bir seminer dersi ile tez çalışmasını başarıyla tamamlaması gerekmektedir. In order to be awarded a degree from MSc programs with thesis, candidates are required to succeed in 7 courses, a seminar and thesis study. The total workload to be accomplished for MSc programs with thesis is 120 ECTS.

Upon a successful completion of the program, graduates can continue their academic studies at Ph. D programs in the related fields of study on condition that they get the required score from related test parts of ALES (Examination for Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education) and providing that they certify their foreign language proficiency through central or internationally valid examinations such as TOEFL,YDS,etc.

So as to be granted a degree, students must successfully complete the courses offered by the program and reach 120 ECTS credits in total and successfully complete a scientifically valid master’s thesis approved by an academic jury.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Lateral transfer is possible for students of master's and doctorate programmes who have successfully completed at least one semester at another department of the same university and the same institute, or at a master's and doctorate programme of another equivalent institute of another higher education institute. According to the related bylaws, the courses that a lateral transfer student should take within the scope of 'Programme Adjustment' are determined by the committee of the relevant department. The determination of which and how many of the previously taken courses should be recognized within scope of the minimum course load, is suggested by the advisor and the committee of the relevant department,as well. "Full Recognition" is provided upon the approval of those courses by the board of chairs of relevant institute.

Kocaeli University guarantees in advance that all credits gained and courses received by an Erasmus student after the mobility abroad will be fully recognized and transferred into Kocaeli University system and upon arrival with the approval of the authorities and the student. While preparing the" Erasmus Credit Transfer and Grade Equivalency Table" the ECTS grades are transmitted to Kocaeli University grading system.

Turkish higher education institutions are in the start-up phase about the recognition of informal and non formal education. However; computer and foreign language skills that students improve on their own, are evaluated through exemption examinations by the university. Students who prove to be proficient in such exams are exempted from related course(s).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Evaluation and assessment is carried out basing on “Kocaeli University, General Examination Regulations for Graduate Degrees”. Depending on the nature of the course, various instruments such as; mid-term exams, final exams, projects, assignments, presentations, short exams are involved in the assessment process. The instruments and the dates of the exams are declared to the student upon the registry of a course. Please see the course structure page for detailed information about each course.
